It is important to note that the person applying to the program (not just a member of the household) must qualify for participation.You may qualify for Q Link Wireless if you participate in:

  • Medicaid
  • Food Stamps/SNAP
  • Social Security Income (SSI)
  • Or other government programs.

You may also qualify if your total household income is at, or below the Federal Poverty Guidelines in states that follow the federal eligibility criteria. What is the Federal Lifeline program?

The Lifeline Program was created in 1984 by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) under Ronald Reagan, and updated in 1996. It allows for low-income households to receive telecommunication services at affordable rates, making sure these households will not be cut off from basic communication services.

Through the Federal Lifeline program eligible Americans can receive a Free cell phone and Free wireless minutes each month.

How many minutes will I receive each month?
Q Link Wireless offers three great wireless plans:
250 free minutes every month ( Talk More)
125 free minutes every month (Talk & Text)
68 free minutes every month (Text More)
What happens once I apply?
Once you sign up for a Free cell phone from Q Link Wireless, you will need to submit documents to prove your eligibility.

These documents could include:

  • Proof of Identity (Ex: driver’s license, passport, state ID, birth certificate, voter’s registration etc.)
  • Proof of Participation in a Government Program (Ex: Food Stamp/EBT card, Medicaid card, SSI award letter, etc.)
  • Proof of Income (Ex: Last year’s tax return, three months of pay stubs, social security statement of benefits, etc.

To submit your documents, visit www.qlinkwireless.com and enter your log in information including your username (your email address) and password (your zip code).Once we receive all of your paperwork, your documents will be verified by our staff. If your application is approved, you will receive an approval email.Next, your phone is assigned to you. The application will then be sent to our shipping department. When your phone is shipped you will receive an email with your tracking number.

Can I pick what  kind of phone I will receive?
No. Phones are assigned based on the state and availability. At this time phones cannot be upgraded.
When do I receive my free minutes and what happens if I run out of minutes?
You will receive your minutes on the first day of every month. If you run out of minutes during the month, you can always buy more by visiting www.qlinkwireless.com and entering your username (email address) and password (zip code). You can also buy more minutes by calling Customer Service at 1-855-754-6543.
Can I change my wireless plan?
Yes, you can change your wireless plan by calling Customer Service at 1-855-754-6543.
Help! My phone was lost/stolen.
If your phone was lost or stolen you must call Customer Service at 1-855-754-6543 to report the phone lost/stolen. A customer service representative will walk you through the process of receiving a replacement phone.
My friend/spouse/family member also wants a Q Link Wireless phone, can they get one too?

Yes! So long as they are not living in the same household as you. The Lifeline program is limited to one Lifeline phone (wireless or landline) per household.If you have a friend/family member who does not live with you and he/she would like to enroll in the Lifeline program to receive a free cell phone from Q Link Wireless, they can apply at www.qlinkwireless.com.

    qlink wireless is a mess the used Samsung exclaim I was sent as part of the lifeline program does not work properly I emailed and called multiple times to not find any solution the phone back will not stay on and the phone does not allow numbers to be entered on a call and it does not allow access to voice mail I even canceled service with them and still receive calls my worry is that my private and financial information is now in undesirable hands please call or text any helpful solutions to this huge problem 8106100353
